Fig Tree Lodge & Camp enjoys a prime position in the vibrant village of Mto wa Mbu, an excellent base for exploring the northern safari circuit and the gateway to Lake Manyara National Park.

Air access:
10–15 minutes’ drive from Lake Manyara Airstrip (LKY), with scheduled domestic connections from Arusha and Kilimanjaro airports.
~120 km from Arusha Airport (ARK) — roughly 2–2.5 hours by road.
~150–185 km from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) — approximately 2.5–3.5 hours’ drive depending on traffic and route.

Early Arrivals & Late Departures
If you arrive early and would like immediate access to your room, we recommend reserving the room for the previous night to guarantee availability upon arrival. Likewise, for late departures, booking an additional night will ensure continued room access until your departure time.
If you choose not to reserve an extra night, Fig Tree Lodge will be happy to securely store your luggage while you relax and enjoy the lodge facilities.
Room Setting
Fig Tree Lodge offers a range of comfortable room settings to suit different travel needs, including Single, Double, Twin, and Triple room configurations. Double rooms feature one large bed, while twin rooms are set up with two separate beds. Triple rooms are ideal for small families or groups traveling together.
All room types are simply and comfortably furnished, each with a private en-suite bathroom and access to the lodge’s garden surroundings, providing a relaxed and convenient base near Lake Manyara National Park.
